About the Journal
Peradaban Journal of Religion and Society (PJRS) is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles and scholarly contributions on religion and its relationships with society, culture, and contemporary social life. The journal promotes critical, interdisciplinary, and theoretically informed scholarship that contributes to the advancement of religious studies and the broader study of religion and society.
PJRS welcomes contributions from scholars and researchers worldwide, with particular attention to studies engaging with Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the Global South, and comparative or cross-regional perspectives. The journal seeks to foster international scholarly dialogue and encourage the exchange of ideas across disciplinary, cultural, and geographical boundaries.
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the originality, academic quality, methodological rigor, and integrity of published research. Further information regarding the journal's areas of interest and the types of manuscripts considered for publication is provided in the Focus and Scope section.
PJRS is an open-access journal committed to making scholarly research freely available to researchers, academics, students, and the wider public.
The journal is published twice a year, in January and July, with each issue comprising original research articles and other scholarly contributions within the journal's scope.
